Hi,

first of all - REALLY neat stuff, PXES.

But then, if there wasn't a catch, i wouldn't ask for advice here ;-)
Problem we're facing here is as follows:
A couple of offices will be switched to PXES roundabout March/April (we
expect to have about 500 clients running PXES by the
end of the year) , and the networking infrastructure is still based on
TokenRing.
Now, Kernel 2.4 and 2.6 got support for a couple of TR cards, unfortunately
for two models (Olicom 3137 and 3140), only a driver for
the 2.0 and 2.2 series exists.
My reasoning is that it should be much easier to get PXES running with an
older kernel than trying to port the driver code to a newer
kernel release.
I even took an attempt to build an image, but startup fails with 'unable to
open an initial console'.
Suggestions are highly appreciated!
Thx,

Steffen Elste
