The CPU in these is an AMD Geode chip. I'm not sure if this is relevant.
/proc/cpuinfo tells me its a "Geode by NSC".

As i said in my earlier message, X appears to be using a driver called
"nsc".

I was able to save output of lspci from the device, this is attached.

As a test, I booted PXES into "local" mode and the artifacts did not
appear. I have not yet tested other setups (ICA,RDP,etc), as XDM is the
only mode that interests me.
