I am having the exact same problem. I have tried turning on "Force Offscreen Compositing" which was little help. I am running 3 Windows 2000 SP4 and 1 Windows 2003 Terminal Servers. I do not have this problem with the MS RDP client. The interesting thing about this is that I happened to be browsing the site thinking that this was a problem only with Thinstation. Our users have the same problems with clipping while scrolling in Word and when typing in a webpage or in an html email, the text flashes continuously. I am sure that this is a setting or a problem with Rdesktop but I am not sure what to change to fix it.

Thanks,

Stephen Bakerman

 Hello,

I"m using PXES 1.0 to boot a bunch of clients connecting to a Win2k3
Terminal Server. RDP version is 5. Unfortunately users experience
slowness in what i think is an image drawing/decompressing issue. In IE
for example scrolling the page exposes a "clipping" effect. In MS Word
users experience high latency between scroll requests and image drawing.

Clients are mostly PIII 400Mhz, 64MB Ram and Matrox MGA200 8MB AGP
 graphics card.

I think this is related with rdesktop performance, am I mistaken? Is
there a way to improve this?

 thanks

 Luca

I get the described results at 16 and 24 colour depths, so I think this
	 is not the problem here.

	 thanks anyway

Have you tried 8 bits also with same results ?
Does Microsoft client in the same computer work fine ?
