Multimedia?

The school that I'm working for is looking to convert 220+ Windows 2000
desktops (P3s w/128MB RAM) into thin clients. However, the big concern
that keeps raising its head is video (ie Quicktime) and audio.

We will give everybody a choice as to what computing environment they
want to use. There will be both Microsoft and Linux terminal servers.
The network is in great shape. We will have a Gbit backbone and 100
MBit to every terminal. Bandwidth shouldn't be an issue.

What I really need is a way for kids (and teachers) to be able to view
web-based video and audio while still running in a thin client
environment. The terminal hardware can handle it. The bandwidth should
handle it. But will it work?

Is there way to run a local Linux based video/audio player in PXES?
Would the NoMachine client be an option?

I'm looking for any ideas!

Thanks,
