PXES is capable of connecting to more than just Linux machines.  LTSP is
essentially a Linux to Linux thin client.  PXES is a Linux to just about
anything thin client.  It even supports LTSP.  PXES is really just a
loadable kernel/configuration set.  Generally, it is used on older
computers, rather than actual "thin client" hardware, simply because
PXES is designed for x86 processors, and many thing client hardware
devices are PPC or MIPS.  At any rate, I'll give you an example.  I use
PXES to build a Linux-based thin client that connects to Windows 2003
Terminal Servers for my company.  It boots via DHCP/PXE, loads the
kernel and initrd, then connects to our load balancer IP address for
Windows Terminal Services.  We use old Dell GX110 desktops.

(My company being the one that pays me, not Gentoo Linux... ;p)
