Hi All,
Yeap, I did select ne2k-pci ("Y") and even try to select it as "Enable =
in Module", it didn't work. When booting from DHCP/Tftpboot, the =
installer kernel does not contains it and also not in =
/lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/net/ directory, thus when the =
installer kernel try to use "insmod" to load this net driver module, it =
failed. I can't install or deploy it on the machine that I am building.
I haven't try to use nfs deployment method, but will try the other time.
Please clearify my understand of the architecture of QPlus Target =
Builder.
The Linux Kernel Configuration section is the one that will be installed =
on those PDA/set-top-box devices.
The System Configuration section is for add-ons or plug-ins application =
(tools/shell/X... etc).
The Target Configuration section is for setting how to install and build =
the installer kernel.
Please give some advice. :)
Thanks again.
Wallace

Hi=20
First, check if you selected ne2k-pci module on the kernel =
configuration. Target configuration=20
section is just provide information to <projdir>/tools/targetinstall =
script.=20
Second, If you use nfs deployment method, add 'depmod -a' on the =
<projdir>/tools/linuxrc.nfsroot file. I mistakenly omitted that and that =
may cause load failure. =20
Hope it will help you.=20

Subject: [Qplus-devel] unable to load network card driver when using =
Install to Hard Disk option
Hi All,
I am new to this useful tool, I have downloaded all packages and =
tools that need to build the i368 embedded linux along with the =
etherboot rom (rtl8029).
As far as I can go, I can bring up the tftpboot connection and =
downloaded the qplus.etherboot image from my another machine. however =
when I try to install it, first it boot up to qplus linux image, then at =
the end of booting up, it reports that it cannot load the network card =
driver. I have selected and typed "ne2k-pci" in the target network =
configuration section.
What I can see when I use "shell mode" instead of "install", I found =
that the image only contains tulip and 3comxx.o, there is no ne2k-pci.o =
in the image net driver module directory.
Did I do anything wrong? and is there anyway I can fix this problem?
Thank you very much.
Best regards
Wallace
