Therefore, if it doesn't work, I think there may be a problem when building the kernel. First, check if you can find selected modules on <projdir>/target/usersupp/lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/net directory. Second, check you can see any error while deploying procedure. <projdir>/tools/targetinstall script govern all deploying procedure. and it will copy proper net modules on the nfs or installer initrd image. One thing you must check is your host kernel must support loopback so that targetinstall script can mount base initrd file. I suspect this is your problem. If not, please send full log message printed on console. ( if you use update version of target builder, you can copy message from 'Expanded Builde Log' tab) Good luck. When booting from DHCP/Tftpboot, the installer kernel does not contains it and also not in /lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/net/ directory, thus when the installer kernel try to use "insmod" to load this net driver module, it failed. I can't install or deploy it on the machine that I am building. I haven't try to use nfs deployment method, but will try the other time. Please clearify my understand of the architecture of QPlus Target Builder. The Linux Kernel Configuration section is the one that will be installed on those PDA/set-top-box devices. The System Configuration section is for add-ons or plug-ins application (tools/shell/X... etc). The Target Configuration section is for setting how to install and build the installer kernel.
