Dear RTAI enthusiasts, 5.0-test1 has been released. <https://www.rtai.org/userfiles/downloads/RTAI/rtai-5.0-test1.tar.bz2> An excerpt of what's new: - updates and a few bug fixes - no more legacy modes, use only the patches found in 5.0 (or the "x" ones in magma) - some significant code cleaning, i386-x86_64 substantially unified - RTAI hardened kthreads can now be used with the "style" of user space threads/processes; beware of large data on the stack, though - no more periodic mode for the hard timer, anyway you call start_rt_timer it will default to start_rt_timer(0) - support up to Linux-3.18.22 - added support for MUSL libc-libm.a in kernel space - arch support of just what is being actively maintained, i.e.: i386, x86_64, ARM boards; anybody wanting to help in resurrecting PowerPc and m68k is welcome Please test and report thru this mailing list, as usual. Enjoy! Sincerely, p. -- Pierangelo Masarati Associate Professor Dipartimento di Scienze e Tecnologie Aerospaziali Politecnico di Milano _______________________________________________ Rtai mailing list [email protected] https://mail.rtai.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rtai _______________________________________________ Rtai mailing list [email protected] https://mail.rtai.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rtai
