You are correct, in principle at least. The service is intended as being arch independent. There is only the need of a short, arch specific, header support. In fact I see that there is an ARM specific rtai_usi.h which, from the little I know of ARM sgould have the basic services to manage interrupts masking/disabli and unmasking/enabling. Beware though, my understanding is just from looking and seeing it close to PPC.
