BTW, musl is now one of the possible supports allowing RTAI to do complex math in kernel space.

Build environment makes a huge difference for me. I found that compiling a bare minimal system with -Os C,{CXX}FLAG and musl (as opposed to glibc) have an impact, as well a super tiny kernel with embedded and expert options enabled, just enough stuff to make it boot. (run on sentence i think)
