Hello, I am a new subscriber to your mailing list. I'm trying to build rtai on a CentOS6 system and am encountering a number of problems. The CentOS6 distribution kernel is v. 2.6.32. The rtai directions say to download a fresh kernel to recompile, but 2.6.32 appears to be no longer supported and not readily available from a source like www.kernel.org. Furthermore, the recent rtai versions only include patches for 3.x. Therefore, I downloaded linux-3.10.32, and rtai-5.0-test1. Following the directions, I can apply the rtai patches, but when I run "make localmodconfig", "make", and "make install" I get a variety of errors related to configure options and missing modules. Instead of describing the individual errors, I would first like to ask if I am on the right track compiling a 3.10.32 kernel + rtai-5.0-test1 in a CentOS6 system? Should I find a linux-2.6.32 kernel and use an older rtai with the corresponding patch? Or, should I use an even more recent kernel such as 3.18? Thank you for your assistance.
