Hi All, I am setting up a new RTAI computer. I have picked the following Motherboard/CPU. As this CPU has no built in Intel Graphics, I will start with an old PCI Express video card that presently works in another RTAI setup. (forget what it is at the moment and can't look) Intel Core i7-6800K Broadwell 3.4GHz LGA 2011-3 Boxed Processor http://www.microcenter.com/product/463393/Core_i7-6800K_36GHz_LGA_2011-3_Intel_Processor ASUS X99-Deluxe II LGA 2011-V3 ATX Intel http://www.microcenter.com/product/464900/X99-Deluxe_II_LGA_2011-V3 I need 4 PCI cards, and I have tested the PCI Express to PCI adapter in the older RTAI setup, and it seems to work StarTech.com PCI Express to PCI Adapter Card (PEX1PCI1) https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Express-Adapter-Card-PEX1PCI1/dp/B0024CV3SA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479053055&sr=8-3&keywords=startech+pci+to+pci I hate getting "new stuff" for linux on a good day, and maybe more so for RTAI. But, I want lots of PCI express bandwidth (for ~0 jitter etc), and need to use some USB3 for video capture:(. RAID 1 would be nice, and I do want this to be impressive, not some old computer, Some computer/machine controller "guys" will see this. I plan to pick this up tomorrow (Monday Nov 14th). Any comments welcome before then! Thanks Doug _______________________________________________ Rtai mailing list [email protected] https://mail.rtai.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rtai
