Thanks Pierangelo and all the RTAI devs for this release and for all
your hard work on RTAI! It's a unique and valuable project in the open
source world and I appreciate all the effort you put into it.
I have built debian packages of the kernel (4.1.18 with
hal-linux-4.1.18-x86-8.patch) and the rtai kernel modules (from Vulcano
updated 2017 May 5), targetting Debian 8 "Jessie" on amd64 and i386
(686-pae).
To install:
* Install Debian Jessie as usual.
* Add these lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://highlab.com/~seb/rtai/5.0-debs/ jessie main
deb-src http://highlab.com/~seb/rtai/5.0-debs/ jessie main
* Run "apt-get install linux-image-4.1.0-1-rtai-686-pae" (or "-amd64").
* Run "apt-get install "rtai-modules-4.1.0-1".
* Reboot.
