For what I know to see not any hyperthreading option in Linux it must be 
disabled in BIOS.
I missed the "7000" in "intel i3".
Try what found at 
"https://www.rtai.org/userfiles/downloads/RTAICONTRIB/rtai-5.0.1.tar.bz2", 
then report the outcome.
