The RTAI site has a (n old) link to: http://www.peak-system.com/linux. The site is still lively and its email list has not so old (2016) exchanges referencing RTAI. As a non CAN user I cannot say more, but at least an RTAI dev/friend should haveĀ one available. In any case it should be possible to port a Linux driver, or any other one, to RTAI. It brings some pains but it has been done already.
