Isn't it better to remove -Werror from the gcc command line and
see if the thing works anyways?

Or, may somebody check why "p" may be uninitialized? Likely some
conditional triggered by the user's configuration, which is different from
the settings you use at polimi.

/alessandro, who loves -Wall and hates -Werror, because gcc changes over time
