Sorry for the late reply..had my exams...
I however did manage to successfully install RTLinux :) and its
wokring fine..other then some warning messages of "tainting the kernel"
I actually tried many permuations of the configuration of the
kernel and it worked.I also have downgraded to Red hat 8.0 since I read
Dr.Lee's paper which said that "Red hat 8.0 is more suitable for RTlinux."
however now I got a new problem,
When I boot my PC with the old kernel i.e one which Red hat 8.0
installed 2.4.18-4 it successfully detects my network card (3COM).
However when I boot using the new patched kernel 2.4.18 It doenst
detects the newwork card.
At bootup it says, cannot bring up eth0 delaying intialization...I
dont know why it doesnt works with the new kernel.
Please help me
I apologize again for this late reply.
Regards,
Vishal Changrani
