well if you comment out pathc_kernel then you simply turned off rtlinux
and are running the interrupts under linux kernel control not rtl_intercept
so that does not realy say where the problem lies and it definitly does
not solve the problem.

What CPU did you select ?
pleas try a generic 686 CPU and let me know if this will still crash the
system (it should not) - but I don't have a xeon to test on.
