Hi Dear All,

Sorry,I forgot to attach that PDF file which I am following. Here I have
attached so just look at it.

I have solved my previous problem by giving #make config command instead of
#make menuconfig/xconfig.

But again I have two problems. As per PDF,I completed up to 2.1 paragraph. In
2.2,kernel configuration. At this time,my current directory is linux which is
at usr/src/linux.And I followed as per below:

[root@localhost linux]#cp /boot/config-2.4.20-8 .config

So as per I understand, here I am making one file ".config" in "linux"
directory by copying contents of config-2.4.20-8.Then I applied following
command,

[root@localhost linux]#make config

So it was asking for configuration, one by one.So mostli I have ignored
except CPU type and APM disable.

Here I am in hesitation for after completion of these configuration,I have
to "save and exit".but I am not getting, how or by which command I can do
this-"save and exit"

Again I have ignored this, and gone ahead to execute next command:

[root@localhost linux]#cp /boot/.config config-2.4.22-rtl3.2-pre3

And here is error i.e.It can't stat file .config

So please help me,what I should do exactly?

Thanks,

regds,

Premji.

Hey,
actually i did not get your problem.

But as far as what u have desribed, you must be having either a .config
file or a .config-2.4.20 file which you should rename. This hardle makes a
difference though.

Otherwise go /usr/src/rtlinux/rtlinux-pre3.2 (or whichever is the rtlinux
dir) and copy the .config from there to /boot/

Now see.

Btw, which pdf are you using?

Raseel.
