RTL-lwIP (http://rtl-lwip.sourceforge.net) provides a standar Sockets API, so 
you can use the BSD socket programming API from RTLinux as if you had 
included the sockets.h file (although is not as simple:) 

You can take a look at this example: this is a real-time task in RTLinux 
performing a TCP client using the sockets API:
