Hi, My message did not reach the moderator of the group. It bounced from [email protected]. Since you are a regular in this group, I was wondering if you can pass it on. Thanks Nihar *************************************************************************************** Hi, I am trying to install RTLinux on my Toshiba A65 Celeron 2.8GHz laptop running Redhat 9. As of now I have not had too much luck with it. A couple of issues I ran into... 1. What are the best configs to be chosen for the config. In one of the papers I read, the person had built his custom configs but did not mention all the items chosen. There was a comment that the default .config which comes with the distro should also work. The install script seems to make a blank config with some defaults. What CPU should I choose? 2. Redhat 9 uses GRUB. When I recompile the kernel for something other than RTLinux, the last step I do is "Make Install" which puts everything at the right place. Somehow it does not seem to work with the patched kernel for RTLinux. Any ideas with this? Thanks a lot!
