Hi,

2.6.X is not realy in the works yet (atleast not on my side) - need to find
a few people that are interested in getting to work on this if we want to
continue standalon patches - alternative (currently my plan) is to move to
ADEOS based 2.6.X RTLinux, the problem with that at this point is the
performance of ADEOS on 2.6.X which does not seem to be that impressive
(yet)
compared to 2.4.X .

Also its a question of needing 2.6.X features - and at present I don't know
of any real limitations of 2.4.X especially for embedded systems where the
2.6.X kernel size is not really that attractive.

If we can get a few people together to split work - I'll be happy to get
moving on a 2.6.8++ patch - let me know!

Thank you very much for the information. We need to use the newer kernel
because of the new hardware. The new SCSI controller and network card
provided by Dell are not supported by 2.4.26 kernel, but supported by 2.6.8.
Is there any other solution instead of moving to the newer kernel? Thank you
very much in advance.

Sorry for sending this mail personally. I have also sent a copy to the
mailing list but it takes time to propagate it through the list so sending a
personal copy to you. Please also send a copy of the reply to my e-mail
address. Thank you.

Best Regards,
Rahul.
