Hi, It is very difficult to help you if you don't strive to give precise details on what is not working in your case. There are a lot of parameters that could yield problems. Many people strived to keep precise documentation explaining how they got working installations : http://einstein.etsu.edu/jenkinss/rtlinux/rtlinux-testing/analysis/analysis-times-font.pdf http://perso.wanadoo.fr/aime.vareille/rtlinux/ Among the identified problems are : -1) The .config kernel file should be not too fat, one of the more friendly for rtlinux is the original .config kernel file from redhat9. -2) It also important to use and patch the kernel sources from http://www.kernel.org For your Fedora Core 3 the optimizations seem more to be on 2.6.9 kernels and the special sources for 2.4.22 are may be somewhat different from the original 2.4.22 sources, so it should be preferable to use 2.4.24 kernel from http://www.kernel.org with the corresponding rtlinux patch. It is also possible that some hardware with the associated driver are not compatible ; therefore it should be interesting to test with bootable knoppix CD customized with rtlinux ; that I use and have proposed with the knoppix 3.3 on kernel 2.4.24. An other point is to maintain collaborative documentation, which is a recurrent problem : may be a wiki server could help to do it with the idea to get something comparable to the wikipedia. Shortly : What .config are you using ? What kernel source are you using ? Did you succeed already to install rtlinux with Redhat9.0 on that machine ? We hope you succeed soon.
