RE: Problem trying to install RTLinux for Debian distribution

Thanks for the help.

The Debian dist I have is using 2.4.18.  The free RTLinux package I
downloaded from FSMLabs only has patches for 2.4.19, 2.4.20, and 2.4.21.  As
I mentioned before the patch command all had hunk failed messages for
2.4.20, 2.4.21 kernel.  Not sure if it was something I did wrong.  Where did
you find the 2.4.24-rtl3.2-pre3 patch?  I searched on the net but could not
find any.  Thanks again for your help.

I don't know what is your starting kernel version ; it is strange for me to
try the older kernel version.
Nevermind, I never used apt-get install rtlinux on debian ; then, I strive
to use the latest version of rtlinux with the latest patch and I found it
works with 2.4.24-rtl3.2-pre3 kernel.
You could download knoppixrtlinux33.iso at
ftp://ftp.antesis.org/livelinux/knoppixrtlinux/ ; knoppix is debian-like and
may be the knoppix-installer works.
