can you send me you .config from kernel and rtlinux - I'll try to reproduce
that - my best guess if it did not happen with pre3 is that some of the
experimental stuff is to blame - pleas recompile rtlinux and the kernel
with the exporimental optimizations turned off - I have no problems with
this on my systems here but test are only done on 12 different systems
by default.

Also if you did not yet do that - pleas pull the latest rc1 cvs - I had 
messed up the time in Linux with the changes in the interrupt emulation 
code an that could affect anything as time was really badly off.
