Hello everyone,
I am using a RedHat 9.0 Linux Distribution running kernel version 2.4.20..
I am very much new to RTLinux & tried installing it ...
Following were the steps I performed :-
1) I downloaded the RTLinux patch rtlinux-3.2-pre2.tar & as the instructions were for kernel version 2.4.18, I downloaded a kernel 2.4.18..
2) I applied the patch & compiled the new kernel successfully..
3) Then I booted into my new kernel ( one with RTLinux) & configured the RTLinux..
4) Now after restarting, when I try to "rtlinux start" at the command prompt , I get error when it tries to insert module ("insmod rtl-time.o") & the error is " You are trying to load a module without GPL Compatible License & it has unresolved symbols .Please contact your vendor"..
& I can not do anything further...
I guess I have not set (or set) some configuration options in xconfig .....
Any help, suggestions ,links would be of great help...
Thanks in Advance,
Shiv
