you don' t actually need to downgrade gcc, you simply would install the second gcc on
the same machine, lets say in /usr/local/bin/ and then
set the PATH variable to include this path before the path to your default gcc
Note though that with the kernels after 2.4.16 you will have
problems with gcc-2.95.X.
