When I do "./scripts/insrtl" in rtlinux-3.2-rc1, I got the same result with 
"rtlinux start". ( my computer freeze ).
Could you please tell me what is your OS (Redhat8? Suse9? Debian? Gentoo? 
.......)

Note : when I do "./scripts/insrtl" or "rtlinux start" in rtlinux-3.1 VS 
linux-2.4.4 in Redhat8, everything is ok.
