Yes.  But it's not a full redesign either.  They made a few tricks that
were basically required to keep the simple pipe extensions from really
being inefficient.

E.g., HyperMarketing--er, HyperThreading is basically a NetBurst-only
hack because of that inefficiency and the availability of so many unused
stages.

But most people expect to be able to use all sorts of 32-bit devices
without knowing it.
