RE: Minifridge

You might try booting to genvmunix.  If my memory is correct, with tru-64 the kernel is always rebuilt after installation, after it has done the discovery
of all the hardware on the box.  Genvmunix is a vanilla version of the kernel.  Vmunix is the recompiled version.  If you change the video card and try to
boot with a previously compiled kernel, it isn't going to work.

old alphas are... old. give them some resets, halts and new b(oot) blah
commands... they usually revive
