That is good to hear. I stopped paying quite so close attention back when there was discussion of dropping support for EV4 & EV45, which covers all my Alphas. The AS500 still gets fired up to check the portability of application source. Did anybody ever get a patch for that weird PCMCIA bridge mucking up DMA on the Alphabook? Everything about it is hard. The largest disk that I have found is 1G. I can build a kernel in that. 128M ram max, I've got it. No network except on a PCMCIA card. That wouldn't be so bad probing the PCMCIA bridge makes the disk go away. I play with it when I want to tilt at windmills. Allegedly it can be net booted with the right NIC, but no progress diskless, either.
