You can download <excess blurb deleted>..... > So where will we get updates from for this release - HP/CPQ or Red Hat ? *scratch* Umm. Thats a tricky one to respond to. See there are two security gpg keys in the dist. Obviously there is the RHAT gpg public key but if you look on the documentation CD you'll also find HP's (HP-RPM-GPG-KEY) I dunno where exactly it's available off the Compaq/HP websites if you load up both gpg keys found on the docs CD (gpg --import HP-RPM-GPG-KEY RPM-GPG-KEY) then you should be in business to be able to recieve certified rpm sets from both companies [root@alpha mnt]# gpg --list-keys /root/.gnupg/pubring.gpg ------------------------ pub 1024D/DB42A60E 1999-09-23 Red Hat, Inc <[email protected]> sub 2048g/961630A2 1999-09-23 pub 1024D/6F23EBEA 2002-03-22 Alpha HP Linux <[email protected]> sub 2048g/792B8111 2002-03-22 Ok, lots of waffling. The above is necessary for both companies to be able to start providing certifiable support. I'm not quite sure what the status is on 7.2 Alpha updates through RHAT's RHN service but I do know that the RHN 7.2 Alpha channel (internally) works as that was part of the testing I did for the release. I do not know what HP's plans are for releaseing updates and I'd expect them to have something in place quite soon, so I'd be monitoring the compaq webpages for an announcement. http://www.support.compaq.com/alpha-tools http://www.compaq.com/services/software/ss_linux.html Phil =--=
