screen reader in mate

Hi.
Ok, now I'm trying out ubuntu mate too.
But I can't load orca at all.
I googled and it said that there was no key combination for that in mate.
Any sugestion on what to do now?
If I can't get that to work I'll have to stick to the normal ubuntu.
But how was it with speakup? can I get that to work as well with this?
You said I could do it with ma´te.
I didn't got an answer, or perhaps I got one and lost that.
