Doh, sorry I remembered it worked over an insecure protocol and
jumped to the conclusion that it was telnet, but you're right, it's
rsh.  Either way, both are insecure and, since shellworld appears to
offer SSH access, I'd advise against using either telnet or rsh (or
plain-old FTP for that matter) when secure alternatives exist.  You
can even "sftp" which has roughly the same user interface as "ftp" but
connects over SSH (and has the added benefit of no longer having
issues with "passive" connections and client-side firewalls).

And rsync really is an amazing tool.  I use it regularly and it
speeds up my syncs/transfers considerably.
