Re: vinux questions

On machines with fast hard drives used in drive sleds, it helps to have 
the hard drive pulled out a little to give the dvd a chance to start 
then push the hard drive home and lock it in the sled for installation. 
Other machines could have had their bios/cmos entries messed up in which 
case it needs sighted assistance to straighten that out since these are 
otherwise inaccessible.  Another possibility is a disk integrity check 
was not done on download using a web downloader like wget bittorrent 
download say with lftp avoids this problem since what gets on your 
machine gets checked for integrity as it is being downloaded.
