You can try that or try to trim the user-installable paths of perl and
reinstall the perl package.

That seems a little nasty - maybe perl got upgraded in the process. Are you
using local lib (see https://metacpan.org/release/local-lib ) and/or perlbrew
(see https://perlbrew.pl/ )? They can help mitigate such problems.
