I don't know of any package that could capture dmesg output to a unique file without user intervention during an error boot scenario then start up normally once a monitor got connected. All I can now tell you is that once a system like KaliLinux is booted without a monitor it just goes silent and it wouldn't surprise me if the system also got hung.
