Thanks.

Dropping the database did resolve the last issue on this topic.
Dennis' previous email clued me into how files were being copied and Tomcat
was being started. (A vital point)
After dropping the database and redoing the loads & hostinit, everything
worked fine.

As to why it didn't work the first time, who knows. It certainly was odd
that we got sort of half a data fill.
