RE: how to ensure that email goes through

Noticed that  I had to start a new transaction thread as I am trying to send
the error to the tech users. The earlier error was kicked off from the old
transaction that got rolled back due to the error.So the transaction got
lost .Hence email was not send even though I saved it.

I'd turn up the log4j debug levels on com.arsdigita.mail and 
com.arsdigita.notification pacakges to DEBUG & then watch the
logs to see if you get any more detail on the problem.
