Re: Are there any user guides, tutorials or how-to's for newbies?

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for replying and for those links. I've read through them
already but they don't answer the questions I have. I looking for more
of a user guide rather than an admin guide.

For example, I just want to create a simple website with navigation
menus along the top or along the left hand column, modify the
look-and-feel to my liking (stick a logo in the top left corner and
change some colors) and publish a few pages. Very, very basic stuff.

I've been playing with this software for about 10 days and I don't even
know if I'm properly publishing a page or can even stick a logo
somewhere. I'm looking for a step-by-step guide to create this simple
website and once I do this I can get in and do more and different
things. I just want something so I can get my bearings with the
software.

As a comparison, I've installed Lenya/Cocoon, Zope/Plone and also
uPortal from Jasig and I have simple sites with content up within a
day. I just cannot figure out how to use CCM CMS.

I will publish what I learn onto the CCM wiki but at the moment I don't
even know if I'm using this software properly.

I would really appreciate it if someone could take 30 minutes and do a
brain-dump on how to do this.

Thanks,
Tom
