How to display data from data base in cms content item

hi, I'm using cms 6.1 & waf 6.1.I have used content type Article & created content items out of this. The page contains text and numbers,I want to get the numbers from database and display it on the page. How can i get numbers from database and display it dynamically,because numbers in database changes as i update database.I don't want to edit the text & numbers of published content item each time value is changed in database.Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
