I One possibility is that FC2 Tomcat is gcj-compiled, and it's some interaction between gij/javac. Look for FC3 to resolve part of this, as we're doing quite a bit of work on Java-related stuff (gcj, gij, jpackage) right now. One thing to experiment: what happens if you rpm -e the FC2 tomcat package and install the Jpackage Tomcat RPM?
