Understand the way data are stored in DB from CMS

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out how from CMS, the content of the field on the web page
are stored into the database.

As example in the class BaseCategoryForm, we have different field like name or
description and they are persisted in the table behind the class Category which
s cat_categories. I didn't found any process method in the classes. So how does
it work to link CMS to CCM in this case?
