Mallocing more then 64K of contiguous kernel memory

I was told that in the redhat 7.x, the kmalloc() restricts themaximum allocable contiguous DMA memory to 64K .  Is thistrue?   Is there a way around it ?  In addition to posting answer on themailing list, please send an email to me too. Thanks, Vijay.
