I just had a look at system-config-nis - a few thoughts:

You probably want to lay out more like:

system-config-nis/src/*py
system-config-nis/data/*glade*
system-config-nis/po/ (for gladestrings and po/pot)

The ui looks quite nice, we might want to ensure people realise the
difference between system-config-authentication (client) and server.

My suggestion would be to get a version out and packaged, get into
fedora-extras and ask for testing on fedora-test-list.
