This is true because I have seen a lot of requests for access to KWallet 
keychain.

You can even set the list of allowed applications in KMenu -> Wallet 
Manager -> Applications.

KWallet: last commit June 24, 2026.
GNOME Keyring: last commit May 4, 2026.
