Summary from Bot Aurelien:
● **Toolbox Image Building Strategy**
○ A discussion was held on how to build ELN's toolbox images to
achieve better parity with RHEL (which uses Konflux) and CentOS Stream
(which currently has no official toolbox image).
○ Options discussed for ELN's image builds include:
1. Migrating to `image-builder` to potentially align with CentOS
Stream.
2. Continuing to use the current Kiwi-based process.
3. Waiting for Konflux to be available in Fedora/CentOS and then
migrating.
○ The lack of a CentOS Stream toolbox image was identified as a
long-standing issue with the upstream `toolbox` project, which has been
reluctant to add support.
○ **Action:** The discussion will continue in GitHub issue `#597`
(https://github.com/fedora-eln/eln/issues/597). `supakeen` will update
the ticket with the options discussed in the meeting.
● **ELN GPG Key**
○ ELN currently uses the Fedora Rawhide GPG key, which causes
signing-related breakages every time Fedora branches.
○ A proposal was made to create a dedicated GPG key for ELN that
would be rotated less frequently (e.g., every 3 years, aligned with RHEL
branching), starting with the F46/EL11 branching.
○ **Decision:** The group agreed to proceed with this proposal.
○ **Action:** Proceed with working with release engineering to
implement a new, dedicated ELN GPG key as detailed in issue `#598`
(https://github.com/fedora-eln/eln/issues/598).
● **EBS Multi-Target Approach**
○ This topic was considered too complex for the remaining time.
○ **Action:** Members were asked to review the proposal in GitHub
issue `elnbuildsync/#62`
(https://github.com/fedora-eln/elnbuildsync/issues/62) and provide
feedback in the `#eln` channel.
● **EBS Timeout Duration**
○ The current one-hour timeout for waiting on Bodhi updates to become
stable before starting the next build batch is not optimal and caused
issues during the recent mass-rebuild.
○ Two main proposals were discussed to improve this:
1. A dynamic timeout based on the number of builds in the update
(e.g., 30 minutes to 48 hours).
2. A very long, fixed timeout with a manual override feature to
cancel the wait.
○ **Action:** The discussion ran out of time and will continue in the
`#eln` channel and GitHub issue `#586`
(https://github.com/fedora-eln/eln/issues/586).
