For SSDs, it is relevant for the alignment to avoid that a single write 
command to a block on the file system causes multiple writes on the SSD.

This is relevant if the physical storage areas (that need to be 
completely rewritten if any bit needs to be changed) are smaller than 
the logical (presented to the OS) areas are.
Still called sectors here, even if SSDs do not have real sectors.
