Prozessortakt schaltet nicht hoch

Hallo, Ich habe ein Problem mit mein, im wesentlichen frisch installierten, Fedora 14 unter Gnome: Der Prozessortakt bleibt beharrlich bei 1Ghz, obwohl der Prozessor stark belastet wird. Ich kann ihn auch nicht manuell hochschalten. Wenn ich das mit dem Applet im Panel probiere, werde ich nach meinem Passwort gefragt und weiter geschieht nichts. Ich weiß leider nicht so genau, welche Infos da hilfreich sein könnten, deshalb bitte fragen. Im Anhang habe ich mal ein paar hoffentlich hilfreiche Infos zusammengestellt.
