Perl

Freunde,
ich bin ja python-Fan, habe aber trotzdem mal eine perl-Frage:

wenn ich z.B. mir ein Perl-Modul, sagen wir konkret SOAP::Lite
herunterlade und will dies installieren, rufe ich zunächst
perl Makefile.PL auf, um das Makefile zu erstellen.

Es erscheint also auf der Kommandozeile:

>> perl Makefile.PL

We are about to install SOAP::Lite and for your convenience will provide 
you with list of modules and prerequisites, so you'll be able to choose 
only modules you need for your configuration.
...
Client HTTP support (SOAP::Transport::HTTP::Client)                      [yes]
Client HTTPS support (SOAP::Transport::HTTPS::Client, require OpenSSL)   [no]
Client SMTP/sendmail support (SOAP::Transport::MAILTO::Client)           [yes]
...
Do you want to proceed with this configuration? [yes]

Gebe ich "no" ein, kann ich die oben angegebene Konfiguration ändern,
das Makefile erstellen, das Modul erstellen, etc.

Wenn ich aber jetzt an eine Maschine kommen, an der ein anderer
SOAP::Lite installiert hat, bekomme ich dann raus, welche Konfiguration 
dieser andere eingestellt hat?

Das ist meine Frage.
